Senior Analyst

With a strong background in political and public affairs research, Amanda Zimmerman assists clients with stakeholder analysis and research for strategic communications challenges. Since joining Forward Observer in 2004, Amanda has worked on statewide ballot initiatives and research projects involving transportation, telecommunications and energy interests.


Amanda began her career as a staff assistant for the National Republican Congressional Committee in Washington, D.C. Before joining Forward Observer, Amanda worked as an opposition and policy research analyst on several statewide campaigns in California, including Darrell Issa for Governor and Rosario Marin for U.S. Senate.

A Chicago native, Amanda received a B.A. from the University of Iowa in political science and a M.A. from the University of San Diego in international relations before studying Mandarin Chinese in Taipei, Taiwan. She currently lives in Geneva, Switzerland, with her husband and three children.
