James Strock, principal of James Strock & Co., is an active part of the Forward Observer network. He is based in Scottsdale, Arizona, and works with companies, NGOs and government agencies across the U.S. and in other nations on strategic, management, and communications issues.
Mr. Strock was the founding Secretary of the California Environmental Protection Agency under Governor Pete Wilson. Previously he was the chief law enforcement officer of the U. S. Environmental Protection Agency, counsel to the U.S. Senate Environment & Public Works Committee, and general counsel to the U.S. Office of Personnel Management.
Mr. Strock is the author of Theodore Roosevelt on Leadership, Reagan on Leadership, and many articles and monographs relating to leadership, management, communications, and sustainability.
Mr. Strock was educated at Harvard College and Harvard Law School. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and is listed in Who’s Who in America and Who’s Who in the World.
